Mr. Corder. Looker

Mr. Luker telephoned again this morning

to ask whether we were yet in a position to say

anything further to him about the Hong Kong Marine

Bill, over which we had some correspondence with

him a month or two ago. I think we promised to

let him see the Bill when it reached us in its

revised form.

What can I say to him flare?

Mr. Looker was fromised the revised hill (15), but he really comes into this qua China Association (see 9),

& we should write

to the China Association es formined in (3),

for their views)

rending the revised draft bill, together with mich parts of the Governor's desfetele as it reams desirable they should have;

we have also to consult 70. (see 13).

I think you might tell Mr. Looker

that the revised bill has been received

& that we

shortly

shall be rending it officially

to the China Ascociation for their views; then recirculate to Easton Deft. Formction

on (17).
